An amazing walk through Biblical history with parable interpretation like you’ve never heard. Fantastic book!
This book was amazing! It’s as if I have never read the parables of
Matthew 13 nor the letters to the churches in Revelation ever. Once you
see how Jesus has prophesied the future relentless persecution of the
church, you cannot unsee it.
This book resonated with me as I am sure it will resonate with so many
others that have gone through the same experiences within, what this
world calls “church,” that has left us so barren and starving in our
spiritual life. It has truly become Christless and is now more than ever
centered around everything else that is not Him.
The experiences I went through I did not even have a name for those
experiences. Sure, I was acquainted with Balaam, Jezebel, and was off on
the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, but had never really quantified what those
were. This book puts things into perspective as the author takes us
through Scripture to show the warnings that are throughout, that I believe,
are so timely for this day and age.
Through my experience of leaving the institutional church system I have
come to realize how veiled I was to the truth. I look back and see how I
was stinted in my spiritual growth and was practically a zombie just
shuffling along with the flow. This book has given voice to the terms of
that experience and explained them with Scripture that has allowed that
veil to come off my eyes and finally rest in the Knowledge of Christ which
is what our entire Faith should be all about.
In the author’s conclusion he lets people know that the more you soak up
the Word of Truth and are finally able to eat a real meal, which is Christ
Himself, the Meat of the Word, that this will give you increased
discernment to know how to leave the institutional church when you
know the time is right. He bases this from his own experiences with the
institutional church system and how he was able to escape its very subtle
pull that tries to entangle us into its bondage repeatedly.
A very needed message in this very Laodicean age that we live in
